Harbord Open Triples
Pollard takes out Major Singles Title
Jonnathan Pollard became the 2010 Club Singles Champion after beating Club newcommer Michael Cleaver in the Final.
Having spent the year off in 2009 to spend with family, Jonnathan came back displaying the talent that made him one of the clubs most valuable Players. After a close fought win in the Semi against Peter Hall, Jonnathan backed up to take the Final in what could only be described as a true exibition of fine Bowling, giving Michael no chance to winning the title.
Ashdown wins 3rd Singles title
Steve Ashdown today took one step closer to proving himself as the Club's premier bowler by winning his 3rd Major Singles Title.
Playing against our resident "Kiwi" Errol Millsteed, Steve took the early advantage to lead 21-3 mid way through the match but Errol finally started to hit some form and slowly clawed his way back into the match. Errol picked up 2 three's and a single to get the match back to 21 -14 and from there the match was on with the spectators also getting into the act. Each player picked up singles before Errol clawed his way back to 24-30 after winning 6 consecutive ends, but it was all too little and too late with Steve finally picking up a 3 to close the match out and claim his 3rd Club Major Singles Title.
2008 saw Steve win the Club Singles as well as being named Zone Bowler of the year. This win could be all that is needed for Steve to have another great year.
Zone Fours

After winning the Semi Final over Shaun Thompson's Asquith Team our lads, Mark Alexander (Skip), Phil Enever, Steve Smith and Rob Hurst narrowly went down to the talented Belrose side of Cy Threlfall (skip), B Linton, D Meldrum and M Smith. Our lads led mid way through the game but unfortunately could not keep up the effort to eventually go down 27 - 20.
A great effort from our lads and congratulations for getting so far.
Pennant Season is upon us with the first round starting Saturday 13th March. A full list of teams and the draw is now on the main notice board.
Pennant Draw 2010 all Grades

Asquith proved too strong on the day to defeat our lads by 1 shot 63-62 in a hard fought game at Pittwater RSL today.
Harbord trailed by 20 shots halfway through the game to come within inches of clinching the victory with the last bowl of the game. With all the players from the other 2 rinks watching on, our resident "Kiwi" Errol Millsteed, who had earlier dropped a "7" and then a "4", turned to his trusty forehand on his last bowl and came so close to pulling off the match winning shot.
On the other rinks, Graham Tetstall won by 20 shots and Mick Stuart went down by 7
The teams were
Steve Allcorn, George Palasty, Dave Packer and Graham Tetstall
Gerard Parlevliet, Andy Dessaix, John Henderson and Mick Stuart
Jeff Watt, Kerin Baker, Brian Cook and Errol Millsteed
